Androgens/Androgen Receptor in the Management of Skin Diseases

چکیده
Beyond regulation of male sexual function, the increasing evidence shows that androgens and androgen receptor (AR) have a variety physiological pathological effects on skin. Skin cells express all metabolizing enzymes are required for independent skin synthesis development hyperandrogenic related disorders such as acne, hirsutism androgenetic alopecia. Targeting various elements function metabolism is major goal medication design treatment androgen-related diseases. Antiandrogen drugs clascoterone, flutamide could improve conditions. Even though involvement AR in diseases has been investigated long time, their molecular mechanisms remain largely insufficient. In this review, recent studies advances role androgens/AR several skin-related therapeutics systematically summarized.
